We are so blessed that we came across Mirella's amazing work on Instagram and even more lucky that she turned out to be such an amazing person to work with! Looking back, the cake tasting was our favourite pre-wedding activity. Mirella was so warm and welcoming and we had a blast!!
Fast forward 6 months to us walking into the reception room and being absolutely blown away by the cake! It exceeded our expectations on so many levels, and we could not have been more impressed! In addition, the cake pops were absolutely delicious and a great way to cap off the night.

We found For The Love of Cakes on a whim as we were scrambling to pull things together last minute for our rescheduled covid wedding, and we couldn't have been happier with the cake we received. We gave Mirella our desired flavours, preferred colour pallet and the creative freedom to design whatever she liked and the final product was beyond perfect. We had a three tiered cake with three different flavours and no one in my family could decide which was their favourite!! Each layer was moist, flavourful and left you wanting more... it was light and fluffy which made it hard to stop at one piece since it wasn't dense or overly sweet. The cake held up nicely all night too without even sweating, despite it being a hot summer day in august with the venue doors open. The price was also great which was an added bonus. Overall I cannot recommend For The Love of Cakes enough - truly incredible work by Mirella and her team!"

My wedding was 4 weeks away and I connected with Mirella (fortheloveofcakes)
From the initial conversation I had with Mirella, we built a great rapport right there and then. She exhibited knowledge and understanding about what we wanted our wedding cake to look like. When I updated my fiancé (now my husband) on my conversation with Mirella, we both agreed there was no need to look any further.
She made us feel like family when we went for the cake tasting; this was even more evident with how she specifically welcomed us by having our names written on the board, congratulating us on our upcoming wedding.
Mirella delivered our cake on schedule, it was a masterpiece, so beautiful, above and beyond our expectations!!!!. The cake was delicious, our guests enjoyed every piece of it. Thank you so much for being part of our wedding.

Mirella was so pleasant to work with! We had to order our cake last minute due to our previous plans being cancelled on us. Mirella was super understanding of our situation and made our beautiful wedding cake happen on such short notice! We went for a vanilla and red velvet sponge cake and it was amazing - tasty, moist, and not overly sweet.
Where do we begin... With all the craziness and uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 it was such a breath of fresh air meeting Mirella. She was amazing to work with and out of all the vendors we used, we never felt we needed to worry about her work. Her professionalism is unmatched and her work is exceptional. What we loved the most however was her honestly throughout the whole process. We never felt pressured into purchasing anything more than we should have.
Anyone that knows us knows that it takes us a while to make final decisions and Mirella was patient every step of the way. We decided on a three-tier carrot cake and we are so happy we did. It was the best cake we've ever tasted and left our guests raving about it for weeks afterwards. One guest even said he doesn't eat cake but LOVED our wedding cake.
Thank you so much for everything Mirella! Our wedding wouldn't have been the same without the beautiful cake you made for us. We look forward to working with you in the years to come!
